Teens alcohol or drug misuse can lead to skipping school, bad grades, and conflict in relationships with friends and peers, rocky family relationships, and can lead to poor brain function, concentration, and other problems with brain development. Some teens also get in trouble with the law, the police, the courts, and Social Services, and may spend time in juvenile detention.
